The month of March in New England is so unpredictable. In the event that we still have winter weather (which we do), we’ve put together a few fun winter craft ideas for you and your kids to do. Take a break from the remote or hybrid learning and get crafting!

For Your Little Ones

Melting Ice Science Experience – All you need is ice, salt, spoons or food droppers, and watercolors or food coloring.

Colored “Glass” Ice Orbs – Create beautiful winter orbs with balloons, water and coloring.

Snowflake Panting – Grab tape, paper and paint for this fun and magical craft.

Snowman Thumbprint Art – Tape off a snowman and let your kids fingerprint snow all around the paper.

For Your Tweens & Teens

DIY Snow Paint – Grab a few spray bottles, fill with water and food coloring and start creating a snow-masterpiece.

DIY Bird Feeder – Food is harder to come by in the winter for many animals. Here is a great Do-It-Yourself bird feeder with just bread, peanut butter and bird seed.

Winter Dioramas – Create a 3D winter wonderland scene, complete with animals in their natural habitats.

Paper Snowflakes – Grab a pair of scissors and white paper for an easy (yet time consuming and fun) project.
