Charlie Advocates for Children’s Mental Health

Charlie, from Auburn, NH, has spent the last year and a half advocating for children’s mental health. He was also elected by the fifth graders of NH to be the 2021 NH Kid Governor after sharing his story of struggling with depression during the COVID lockdowns.

Charlie has worked tirelessly with non-profits around the state to raise awareness of childhood depression and to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health challenges. He has worked with Connor’s Climb, Reach 1 Teach 1 Love 1, Choose Love Foundation, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Charlie received the Erik Cogswell Award from the Seacoast Mental Health Center, which recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions towards improving the lives of people living with mental illnesses.

Charlie’s passion and dedication has improved the lives of kids around New Hampshire that struggle with mental health, and is the reason he was chosen as a one of our 2022 Nice Catch winners.
