Bitcoin Scam Impacting Our Members

February 13, 2024

We have received reports of members who have been contacted by fraudsters and are being told to withdraw their money from Northeast Credit Union. They are then instructed to deposit their funds into a bitcoin machine. Some members have also had their computers hacked and compromised from a fraudulent Microsoft pop-up link.

If you receive a suspicious text or call from someone claiming to be from Northeast Credit Union, ignore and/or hang up. If you’re unsure of if the text or call is legitimate or not, please call us directly at 888-436-1847.

If you have any questions, concerns or believe you may have fallen victim to fraud, please contact our Member Services Team (Mon-Fri 9a-5p, Sat 9a-12pm) by sending a message through Digital Banking or by calling us at 888-436-1847.
