Jacob Helps Foster Children Get Bikes

7-year-old Jacob Lavertu of Berlin, New Hampshire, was nominated for Nice Catch for his commitment to spreading joy. When Jacob’s bike went in June of 2020, his community rallied together to help raise money to buy him a new bike. Surprised by the donations from friends and family, Jacob suggested that any extra money go toward buying bikes for foster kids.

Since then, Jacob started his own fundraiser, and has given 14 brand new bikes to kids in foster care and plans to continue raising money to ensure every kid grows up with a bike. Jacob’s commitment to helping people and spreading joy is incredible, and we can’t wait to see what other great things he does in the future!
