Kathleen Is Dedicated To Her Students’ Success

Selflessness is often times an unofficial job requirement for teachers. Kathleen Gauthier embodies that. Teaching both third and fourth grade at Temple Elementary School in Temple, NH, most of Kathleen’s time is dedicated to her students, even during the summer months. This past summer, she took one week off from school to attend her long awaited honeymoon. The rest of her summer was dedicated to training or preparing her classroom for the upcoming school year. As part of preparation, Kathleen spent a significant amount of her own money on classroom supplies including pencils, markers, and even filing cabinets. She even spent several hours piecing together a special table for her students to engage in group discussions. As many school districts are struggling financially, teachers like Kathleen always make sure that their students still have access to the tools they need to be successful.

Because of Kathleen’s compassion for her students, she was chosen as a winner of Northeast Credit Union’s Teachers That Wow  contest. Her selflessness is something we all can learn from!
