Max Excels as a Volunteer in His Community

Max is a fantastic student, a three-sport athlete at Portsmouth High School, an extracurricular club leader with the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Peer Leadership group, and he holds a part-time job. Even with all of those responsibilities, Max also finds time to volunteer to help out his community. He is a peer mentor to students at Little Harbor School, has served dinner at the Salvation Army soup kitchen, been a volunteer coach for the Portsmouth Young Athletes program as well as the Challenger Baseball program, assisted with PHS campus cleanups, beach cleanups, and many more. Max somehow squeezes so much into the 24 hours in a day, and it’s because he truly wants to have a positive impact on his community and those people around him. His efforts don’t go unnoticed as the students that he works with absolutely love him, and the staff that supervises the activities rave about him. He truly is a Kind Kid who makes a difference on a daily basis in our community.

Max’s selflessness and positive impact on his community is why he was selected as a 2023 Nice Catch Kind Kid.
