Patrick Cuts His Hair For Good

Most of us have experienced the frustration of a bad hair day. When Northeast Credit Union employee Patrick Stanganelli felt his long hair required too much maintenance, he decided to use his haircut for good. Patrick chose to donate his hair to Wigs4Kids, a non-profit organization which provides wigs and other support services to children experiencing hair loss free of charge. The first time he grew his hair out, Patrick had no intention of doing anything with it. After a conversation with one of his high school teachers, Patrick decided to make a difference by donating. This is the third time Patrick has chosen to donate to Wigs4Kids. He says it takes about two years for his hair to reach the required donation length after he gets it cut.

“I started growing it out because I liked having long hair after years of maintaining a high and tight haircut that was required by school,” Patrick said. “It honestly feels pretty weird to have short hair. I can’t wait to grow it back out again.”

We’re proud to have Patrick on our Northeast Credit Union team. If you would like to learn more about Wigs4Kids and how you can help, please visit their website.
