Sarah Keeps Community Focus for Her Classroom

Mrs. Sarah Sanborn, a 5th grade Science and Social Studies Teacher at Plymouth Elementary School, truly understands what community is all about. She stuck to her roots, graduating from schools in Plymouth and stayed to be a role model for the school and community.

In the classroom, Mrs. Sanborn brings a passion to science that excites her students. Yearly, she coordinates an Egg Drop project, encouraging students to create a structure to protect their eggs from breaking when being dropped out of a plane. Mrs. Sanborn coordinates with local pilot, Don to make it possible.

Outside of the classroom, she coordinated countless fundraisers to bring the Gerry Gontarz Greenhouse to life, and each year, organizes the Jingle Bell Run to support the school’s winter sports program. Mrs. Sanborn is an example of true kindness to her students and without a doubt, a ‘Teacher Who Wows’.
