Scam Impacting Northeast Members

May 16, 2023

We’ve had multiple reports of Northeast members receiving calls, text messages, or emails claiming to be the Northeast Credit Union Fraud Team stating suspicious activity was spotted on their account. The scammer then asks the member to provide their Digital Banking username and password, and Secure Access Codes in order to “protect” their account.

If you receive a suspicious call, text or email from someone claiming to be from Northeast Credit Union, ignore it, don’t click any links and/or hang up. If you’re unsure if the communication is legitimate, please call us directly at 888-436-1847.

Remember Northeast Credit Union or any financial institution will NEVER text, call, or email asking you for usernames, passwords, or Secure Access Codes.

If you have any questions, concerns or believe you may have fallen victim to fraud, please contact our Member Services Team (Mon-Fri 9a-5p, Sat 9a-12pm) by sending a message through Digital Banking or by calling us at 888-436-1847.
